Abstract

Introduction: The digitalisation of the healthcare sector is expected to improve the quality and efficiency of public health services, with electronic recording and reporting systems playing a crucial role. The e-Cohort application helps healthcare workers enhance their response to family health services, enabling them to deliver fast and accurate services that can be monitored in real-time, 24/7. Challenges in implementing the e-Cohort application in Mataram City include incomplete and incorrect form submissions from some midwives, which can be attributed to varying levels of technological proficiency and the perceived complexity of the application, making its features difficult to understand. It is essential to examine the characteristics of midwives and conduct research to determine their relationship with the implementation of the e-Cohort application.

Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between midwives' age, education, length of service, and employment status and the implementation of the e-Cohort Maternal and Child Health (MCH) program at the Mataram City Community Health Centre (Puskesmas) in 2024.

Method: The study employed a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population comprised 164 midwives working at the Mataram City Community Health Centre (Puskesmas), with 128 selected through purposive sampling. Data collection utilised a checklist, and data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank test.

Results: The findings indicated that the majority of midwives who completed the e-Cohort were in late adulthood (89.6%), held a Diploma 3 (81.3%), had less than 10 years of service (56.3%), and were civil servants (60.2%). A significant relationship was found between age (p-value 0.007 < 0.05), length of service (p-value 0.030 < 0.05), and employment status (p-value 0.001 < 0.05) and the successful implementation of the KIA e-Cohort at the Mataram City Community Health Centre (Puskesmas).

Conclusion: The study concludes that there is a significant relationship between age, length of service, and employment status in relation to the successful implementation of the KIA e-Cohort at the Puskesmas.
